This means that within 30 days of buying a course, eBook, template, or tool access, if you are unsatisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund. We will process it without requiring detailed justification, because your trust matters more to us than a single transaction.
This guarantee reflects our commitment to delivering genuine value to every farmer and agribusiness professional who invests in our resources.
2. Eligible Products
The following products qualify for a full refund within 30 days of purchase:
- Online courses and video tutorials (if less than 30% of the course content has been accessed)
- Downloadable eBooks and PDF guides (if downloaded within 30 days and a technical defect is reported)
- Farm management templates and spreadsheets (if a material defect or inaccuracy is identified)
- Market intelligence reports (if the report is found to contain significant factual errors)
- Consultation session bookings (if cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled time)
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds:
- Courses where more than 30% of the content has been consumed or completed
- Products purchased using a promotional discount of 50% or more
- Consultation sessions cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time
- Downloadable products where the issue is a matter of personal preference, not a defect
- Products explicitly marked as 'Non-Refundable' or 'Final Sale' at the time of purchase
- Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after the original purchase date
- Accounts found to have abused our refund policy (e.g., repeated purchase-and-refund cycles)

4. How to Request a Refund

5. Processing Time
Once your refund is approved:
- Card payments (Visa, Mastercard, Verve): 5–10 business days to reflect on your statement
- Paystack / Flutterwave: 3–7 business days
- Bank transfer: 2–5 business days to the account used for payment
- USSD payments: refunded to the originating mobile account within 5–7 business days
Refunds are processed in the currency of the original transaction. River Root is not responsible for exchange rate differences or fees charged by your bank.
If your refund has not appeared after the stated timeframe, please contact your bank first, then reach out to us if the issue persists.
6. Partial Refunds
In some circumstances, a partial refund may be offered instead of a full refund:
- Courses where 30%–60% of content has been accessed (pro-rated refund based on unused content)
- Bundle purchases where only specific items within the bundle are disputed
- Consultation sessions that began but were cut short due to technical issues on our side
- Cases where a coupon discount was applied — refund is calculated on the amount actually paid
Partial refund amounts are assessed on a case-by-case basis and communicated clearly before processing.
7. Technical Issues
If you experience a technical problem that prevents you from accessing or using a product you purchased (e.g., download failure, corrupted file, broken video), please contact our support team immediately.
We will:
- Attempt to resolve the technical issue within 48 hours
- Provide an alternative download link or access method if available
- Issue a full refund if the issue cannot be resolved within 5 business days
Technical issues must be reported within 14 days of purchase to qualify for this resolution path.
8. Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. We are committed to resolving all disputes fairly and quickly.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting River Root may result in:
- Immediate suspension of your account and access to all purchased products
- A blacklisting from future purchases on the platform
- Recovery of chargeback-related fees from any outstanding credit owed
If a chargeback is resolved in your favour by your bank, we will honour the outcome while retaining the right to restrict future access.

- Bereavement or serious illness — we may extend the 30-day window with documentation
- Accidental duplicate purchase — full refund of the duplicate order, issued immediately
- Product significantly different from description — full refund plus a written apology
